A: Indonesian Rupiah

Q: What is the Exchange Rate for Singapore Dollar to Indonesian Rupiah?
A: SGD 1 = Rp 9,700 – 9,800 (see below for current rate)

Q: Is it better to change Rupiah in Singapore or Batam?
A: Batam. As a general rule of thumb, it is advisable for tourists to change the currency in your destination

Q: Can I pay using Dollars or other Currencies other than Rupiah?
A: A BIG NO. The new law requires that Rupiah must be used in any transaction done in Indonesia. It is against the law to do otherwise
