POP UP MARKET — NAGOYA 2016

DIE DIE MUST TRY! Batam’s Shocked Market aka POP UP Market at its best. A must visit in Batam if you are into truly Indonesian street food. Cheap and good and lots and lots of food stalls to choose from. Sounds interesting right? For those who are new to Batam, tourists, or local Batam residents who do not know, this market is only here during the fasting month! Yes, only around one month in the entire year
We call this “Shocked Market” because:
– the amount of people is crazy
– the variety of food is quite shocking
– the prices are quite cheap
– the number of stalls enough to feed you for 1-2 week
I just love the atmosphere here. Truly localistic experience. Full of roadside stalls and Indonesian local food. If there is any night food market in Batam worth visiting, this is it!
This Pop Up Market is so fun that I have to come here the second time. You should try all the ones I am showing in this video. They are pretty good, especially the Kue Soerabi Solo Pak Panjul and Martabak Mini!
