Hello Foodies and Pokemon Go Fanatics!
Yesterday, the whole Asia got shaken by the announcement of the official release of Pokemon Go. That includes Indonesia, and in particular, my beloved Batam Island. So my friends and I started hunting. We also started a group in Whatsapp, which currently has around 130 members. If you would like to join our small community, leave your name and Whatsapp number in the comment below.
We shared tons of information in the group of where the Pokestops and Gyms are all across Batam. I thought, why not share these information to Pokemon Go fans all over Batam. In fact, I get Singaporean tourists who already contacted me on where to find Pokemon in Batam. For now, I will start briefly on the popular spots where Batam Trainers are hunting and using “Lure”. Some of us are currently meeting up at these spots to use “Lure Modules” consecutively for the maximum benefit of every Trainer in the nearby Pokestops.
With your help, I hope to make this Pokemon Go section help more Trainers. I am a foodie at heart, so I will incorporate some Makan Places along these locations. All the credits go to you all Trainers! Please bear with me for now. I will update this page regularly to include more information, tips, and guides. Stay tuned for regular updates okay

NAGOYA HILL MALL
One of the hottest Pokestops with almost continuous lures on in Nagoya area is located in Nagoya Hill Mall Complex. The most popular spot is in the Food Street area near the Bonchon/Ace Hardware side. Another one is by the JCO fountain area.
MAKAN PLACES: Jco, Hill Cafe, Bonchon, Nagoya Hill Food Street
Find your spot at the Food Street near Bonchon area. You want to be able to sit down in the middle of these 3 pokestops and enjoy the lures!
This section is normally quiet but look at the crowd now! So yeah, this is the spot you wanna be at in Nagoya Hill mall and meet other Trainers while enjoying the food nearby.
MEGAMAL
Lures going on here too especially for Starbucks lovers

TEA STORY CAFE
Definitely the top spot in Nagoya area with almost continuous lures. They have only 2 pokestops but sitting here enjoying some light snacks and bubble tea makes up for it. And did I mention they have free charging outlets and wifi too?
Tea Story has been crowded since the official release of Pokemon Go in Indonesia. I have passed by many times and see many Trainers just lurking in front of the cafe and catching pokemon.
VIZTA HOTEL
A new finding. Most people wouldn’t come here unless for wedding receptions. But now, Vizta might get a sudden boost of visitors because of its 3 pokestops and 1 gym!
VIHARA MAITREYA BATAM CENTRE
The most pokestops currently in any religious ground. In fact, this place has the most pokestops in such a small area. I am counting 8 pokestops and 1 gym. No wonder most Batam Centre residents hang around its vicinity till late at night. Most of the trainers are hanging just outside the temple in the parking area. Please be careful in this area during night time. And please be respectful in religious ground as not to disturb others.
MASJID RAYA BATAM CENTRE
You can get to those 3 pokestops and 1 gym easily. Also getting more attention now! You can see “Alun Alun Engku Putri” above and Megamal 3 lures!
WINDSOR TEMPLE (PEK KONG KENG)
Another hot spot for those living in Nagoya area. Four spots just inside the Temple complex. I drove by and many cars were parking at the side of the road because the Temple was already closed. Hahahhaa

VIHARA BUDDHAYANA
Quite a lot of trainers come here too especially with these 3 pokestops nearby. But not so much lures going on here

ALUN ALUN ENGKU PUTRI
Batam’s most popular Morning exercise place.This huge field has been used by many for meeting points. And now, it gets even more crowd because of these 3 pokestops and lures
NAGOYA CITYWALK
The 2 pokestops near the entrance has been getting more attention. I have seen many many people using lure modules at these two stops. You can see the Vihara Buddhayana Pokestops (Lovely Foodcourt) on the top right of the picture
